The bill provides flexibility to schools in meeting statutory instructional time requirements, including a pathway for schools to provide remote instruction without an approved AOI. UPDATE: HB 2862 was signed by the Governor on April 28, 2021. Districts that are already approved as an AOI do not need to apply again. Charter Schools should contact the State Board for Charter Schools. The window for the 2024-25 school year will open July 2023. The deadline to submit an application was November 1, 2022. The window for school districts to apply for an AOI for the 2023-2024 school year is now closed.
